An independent repair shop in Rosebank
Asetos Computers has been trading from The Zone @ Rosebank since 2008. We repair laptops, desktops, MacBooks and phones, supply replacement parts and refurbished machines, and take on server and networking work. We are an independent workshop, not a manufacturer's authorised service centre, and we say so up front because it affects what we can and cannot do for you.
Diagnose first, quote second, repair third
The order matters. A quote given before anyone has opened the device is a guess, and guesses are how people end up paying for the wrong repair.
We diagnose
A standard assessment fee of R345 may apply, and it is often waived if you go ahead with the repair. You get the actual fault, not a guess.
You approve the quote
Work begins only once you have approved the price in writing. If we find something else along the way, we stop and call you before adding a cent.
We repair and test
Most jobs are done the same day. Complex work takes two to three days, and we tell you upfront which one yours is.
The warranty applies
Parts and refurbished devices carry a 6-month warranty, repair jobs a 3-month warranty on the fault, part and labour. See our warranty page.
Sometimes the honest answer is that a machine is not worth repairing, or that an SSD and RAM upgrade will do more for you than a repair would. We would rather say so than sell you the job.

- Accept old equipment for free, responsible recycling
What we do not do
- Buy used equipment, take trade-ins or sell on consignment
- Act as an authorised service centre for any manufacturer
- Quote a fixed price on a motherboard repair before diagnosing it
- Start work on any device before you have approved the quote

Ground floor, The Zone @ Rosebank
Shop G15, The Zone @ Rosebank, 177 Oxford Road, Johannesburg, 2196. We are on the ground floor, directly below the Museum of Illusions, at the end of the passage between Clicks and Hamleys, facing the escalator between the Omen and George's restaurants. Rosebank Gautrain station and the taxi rank are a short walk away, and the centre has secure parking.
Being inside a managed shopping centre rather than a back street matters when you are handing over a device with your work and your photographs on it. There are also plenty of places to wait if the job is a quick one.
